PXLProjectsAbout Us

Projects

Here you can find some of our projects, and we tend to typically stick with a few key design philosphies unless stated otherwise. Our projects are, fast, cross-platform, and finally, we have one thing here that a lot of people won't agree on, but it's maximalism.

fastpkg

Written in: C++

Fastpkg is the universal cross-platform package manager that aims to be "you decide everything" package manager. Because of this "you decide everything" goal, fastpkg allows you to configure everything in a single configuration file, only offers free software in its community repos, does not have dependency resolution, and most importantly, fast as hell.

47sh

Written in: C++

47sh is our highly POSIX-compliant in-house made shell. It is rich-featured by default, but still highly extensible.

The Lithium Operating System

Written in: lots of different languages of the subprojects

The lithium operating system aims to be the one-size-fits-all fully-free as in freedom operating system. Some of the key features of lithium include its FreeBSD base, packaged with PXL's selected collection of both our own and other free and open source projects.

There also exists of an officially supported variant of the Lithium operating system, formally "Lithium/Linux-libre" that uses the fully free and deblobbed Linux-libre kernel and some technical differences such as glibc/musl and OpenRC instead of bsd libc and bsd rc.d compared to BSD lithium.
